রবীন্দ্রনাথ প্রথম প্রেমে পড়েন ১৭ বছর বয়সে। প্রেমে পড়া সেই তরুণীর বয়স তখন ২৩। রবীর চেয়ে প্রায় ছয় বছরের বড়। মেয়েটি মারাঠি।ভাই জোতিন্দ্রনাথের বন্ধু আত্নরামের মেয়ে থাকেন বোম্বেতে। নাম আনা তড়ঘড়। অন্নপুর্না দেবী নামে সবাই চিনতো।
ইংল্যান্ডে যাবার আগে বন্ধুর বাসায় পাঠানো হয়েছিল যাতে কিশোর রবি কিছু আদব কায়দার শিখতে পারে। সেখানে গিয়েই প্রেম। রবী আনার নাম দিয়েছিলেন নলিনী। মাত্র বছর খানেক এই প্রেম টিকে ছিল।
সময়টা ১৮৭৮। আনার বিয়ে হয়ে যায় পরের বছরেই। মাত্র ছত্রিশ বছর বেঁচে ছিলেন আনা তড়খড়। দুইটি মেয়ে সন্তান রেখে কর্কট রোগে ১৮৯১ সালে পরপারে পাড়ি দেন ররীন্দ্রনাথের জীবনের প্রথম এই নারী।

পরের বছর রবি বিলেতে যান। ব্যারিষ্টারি পড়তে গিয়ে স্কট পরিবারের বাসায় উঠেছিলেন। সালটা ১৮৭৯।রবির বয়স তখন ১৮। বাড়িতে চার মেয়ের মধ্যে সবার ছোট মেয়ে প্রেমে পড়লেন রবীর। রবীর জীবনের প্রথম বিদেশিনী।নাম লুসি স্কট।রবীর চেয়ে ছয় বছরের বড় লুসি পিয়ানো বাজাতে ভালোবাসতেন। বছর দুইয়ের মতো এই সম্পর্ক ছিল। রবী ১৮৮২ সালে দেশে ফিরে আসেন। পরের জীবনে লুসি আর বিয়ে করেনি।
অনেক বছর পর লুসির ভাতিজা একটা চিঠি লিখে রবীন্দ্রনাথকে জানায় লুসি এখন ভীষণ বৃদ্ধা ও দরিদ্র, তার কিছু টাকা প্রয়োজন। রবির বয়স তখন ৭০।

রবীন্দ্রনাথ বিলেত থেকে ফিরলেন ১৮৮২ সালে। তখন তার বয়স কেবল ২১ পার হয়েছে। ছোটবেলার খেলার সাথী বৌঠান এখন ২৩। জীবনের নুতন এক প্রেমের দেখা পেলেন রবী। কাদম্বরী দেবী হয়ে উঠলের রবীর জীবনের ধ্রুবতারা।
রবীর বিয়ে হয়ে যায় ১৯৮৩ সালে ডিসেম্বরে। বিয়ে চার মাসের মাথায় ১৮৮৪ এপ্রিলে আফিম খেয়ে আত্নহত্যা করেন অভিমানী কাদম্বরী দেবী। তখন তার বয়স মাত্র ২৬ বছর।

রবীন্দ্রনাথ বিয়ে করেন ২২ বছর বয়সে। বাংলাদেশের খুলনার মেয়ে মৃনালিনী দেবীকে। তখন তার বয়স ১০ বছর। মাত্র ২৯ বছর বেঁচে ছিলেন মৃণালিনী দেবী। ১৯ বছরের সংসারে তাদের পাঁচটি সন্তান হয়েছিল। তিন মেয়ে দুই ছেলে। মেয়ে রেনুকা ১০ বছর আর ছোট ছেলে শমী মাত্র ১১ বছর বেঁচে ছিলেন।
১৯০২ সালে যখন স্ত্রীকে হারান রবীন্দ্রনাথের বয়স তখন ৪১ বছর। এরপর আর বিয়ে করেননি বিশ্বকবি।

১৮৮৭ সাল। বৌঠান কাদম্বরী দেবী মারা গেছেন বছর তিনেক হলো আর বিয়ের বয়স কিছুটা বেশি। ১৪ বছর বয়সী ইন্দিরাকে প্রথম চিঠি লেখেন রবীন্দ্রনাথ। তখন ইন্দিরা কেবল বিলেত থেকে ফিরেছেন আর রবী তখন বৌঠানের প্রস্থানে শোক কাটিয়ে উঠতে পারেননি। সস্পর্কে ভাতিজি এই কিশোরী রবীর মানষিক উৎকন্ঠার আশ্রয়স্থল হয়ে ওঠেন। পাঁচ বছরের সম্পর্কে ২৫২ টি চিঠি লিখেছিলেন রবী।
পরবর্তীতে ১৮৯৯ সালে নিজের পছন্দে সাহিত্যিক প্রমথ চৌধুরীকে বিয়ে করেন।
রবীন্দ্রনাথ যখন মারা যান তখন ইন্দিরার বয়স ৬৭ বছর।
৮৭ বছরের দীর্ঘ জীবন পেয়েছিলেন ঠাকুর পরিবারের প্রথম বিএ পাশ করা এই নারী।
রবীন্দ্রনাথ জন্মের ঠিক ৯৯ বছর পর ১৯৬০ সালের ১২ আগস্টে মারা যান এই বিদূষী।

তোমিকো ওয়াদা কোরা। রবীন্দ্রনাথের জাপানী প্রেম। যখন প্রথম রবীন্দ্রনাথ জাপান যান তখন তার বয়স ৫৫ তোমির বয়স ২০।
এপর ১৯১৯ সালে রবীন্দ্রনাথ আমেরিকায় গেলে সেখানেও তাদের দেখা হয়। তোমি রবীন্দ্রনাথের প্রেমে এতটাইই মজেছিলেন যে বালিশে আটকে থাকা কবির চুল দীর্ঘদিন সঙ্গে করে ঘুরেছিলেন তিনি।
এর পাঁচ বছর পর আরকেবার জাপান গিয়েছিলেন কবি।তখনও তাদের
১৯৩৪ সালে বিয়ে করেছিলেন তোমি। রবীন্দ্রনাথকে দেখতে শান্তিনিকেতনেও এসেছিলেন তোমি। তখন ৭৫ বছরের বৃদ্ধ রবি।
১৯৯৩ সালে ৯৬ বছর বয়সে মারা যান রবীন্দ্রভক্ত এই নারী।

এরপর রবীন্দ্রনাথ এক কিশোরীর প্রেমে পড়েন। নাম রাণু মুখার্জি। রবীন্দ্রনাথে সাথে তার বয়সের পার্থ্যক্য ৪৫ বছরের।
রাণুর যখন ১২ বছর বয়স তখন তিনি প্রথম চিঠি লিখেছিলেন রবীন্দ্রনাথকে। সেসময় রবীর বয়স ৬৭ বছর। ধীরে ধীরে সম্পর্ক গভীর হয়। প্রায় ৮ বছরের বেশি সময় রাণু-ভানুর প্রেমপর্ব চলে। ১৯২৫ সালে রাণুর বিয়ে হয়ে যায় স্যার রাজেন্দ্রনাল মুখোপাধ্যায়ের ছেলে বীরেণের সাথে।
১৯১৭ সালে শুরু হয়ে ১৯৪০ সাল পর্যন্ত ২০৮ টি চিঠি লিখেন রবীন্দ্রনাথ আর রাণু লেখেন ৬৮ টি। ভানুসিংহের পত্রাবলী নামে পরবর্তীতে তা প্রকাশিত হয়।
অনেক বছর পর রাণু, ‘লেডি রাণু’ হয়ে উঠেছিলেন। শিল্প সংস্কৃতিতে তিনি বেশ অবদান রাখেন। স্বামীর সাথে নাইট উপাধীও পেয়েছিলেন তিনি। দুই মেয়ে একটি ছেলে ছিল নিয়ে রাণুর সংসার।
২০০০ সালে ১৫ মার্চ ৯৪ বছর বয়সে পৃথিবী থেকে চির বিদায় নেন রবী ঠাকুরের এই মানস সুন্দরী।

এরপর ৬৩ বছর বয়সে রবীন্দ্রনাথে জীবনে আসে ৩৪ বছরের ভিক্তোরিয়া ওকাম্পো। আর্জেন্টাইন এই লেখিকার জন্যই রবীন্দ্রনাথ লিখেছিলেন ‘আমি চিনি গো চিনি তোমারে ওগো বিদেশিনী‘। রবীন্দ্রনাথের এই বিদেশীনির নাম দিয়েছিলেন ‘বিজয়া’।
১৯২৪ সালের ১১ নভেম্বর থেকে ১৯২৪ সালের ২ জানুয়ারি পর্যন্ত ভিক্তোরিয়া কাটান রবীন্দ্রনাথের সান্নিধ্য।
রবীর সাথে দেখা হবার ১২ বছর আগে তিনি ভালোবেসে বিয়ে করেছিলেন বার্নাডো এস্ত্রাদাকে। সালটা ১৯১২। স্বামীর সাথে সম্পর্কচ্ছেদ করে ১৯২১ সালে। এরপর প্রেমিক মার্তিনেথের সাথে থাকতে শুরু করেন। কিন্তু সে সম্পর্কও তাকে শান্তি দিতে পারেনি। প্রতারণার শিকার হয়েছিলেন।
জীবনের এমন কঠিন সময়ে রবীন্দ্রনাথের ‘গীতাঞ্জলি’ তাকে জীবন যন্ত্রণায় কিছুটা শান্তি দিয়েছিল।সেই থেকে রবীভক্ত হয়ে উঠেছিলেন তিনি।
রবীন্দ্রনাথের মৃত্যুর ৩৮ বছর পর ১৯৭৯ সালের ২৭ জানুয়ারি ৮৮ বছর বয়সে মারা যান রবীন্দ্রনাথে ওগো বিদেশিনী ওকাম্পো।

স্নেহ, ভালবাসা আর প্রেম সবই যেন একাকার হয়ে গিয়েছিলে একটি সম্পর্কে এসে, আর সেটি হলো মৈত্রেয়ী দেবীর সাথে রবীর সম্পর্ক।
এই সম্পর্ক যে শারিরিক কুলষতার উর্দ্ধে উঠেছিল সে কথা আর বলতে।বয়সের এই বিশাল পাথর্ক্য মানষিক প্রশান্তির আদান প্রদানে বাধা হয়ে ওঠেনি।
ছোটবেলা থেকেই রবীন্দ্রনাথে মুগ্ধ ছিলেন মৈত্রীয় দেবী। বাবার সুবাদে পারিবারিক সম্পর্ক ছিল তাদের।
যখন তার বড় বেলা তখন প্রেমে পড়েন মির্চা এলিয়াদ নামে এক ইউরোপিয়ান তরুণের। সে প্রেম ছিল বিরহের আর বিচ্ছেদের। বিচ্ছেদের বেদনাকে সঙ্গি করে বাধ্য হন পিতার পছন্দ করা পাত্র বিশিষ্ট বিজ্ঞানী ড. মনোমোহনকে বিয়ে করতে।
এই বিরহী মনের প্রশান্তি জুগিয়েছিলে রবীন্দ্রনাথের লেখা। পরে কবিকে যখন সরাসরি কাছে পেলেন তখন সেই সম্পর্ক এ ভিন্নরুপ নিল।
রবীন্দ্রনাথ ও মৈত্রিয়ী দেবীর মধ্য এক অলৌকিক সম্পর্ক স্খাপিত হয়েছিল। সময়টা ১৯৩৮-১৯৪০। মৈত্রয়ী দেবীর বয়স তখন ২৪/২৫ বছর হয়ত । বরীন্দ্রনাথ জীবনের শেষ প্রান্তে।
স্বামীর সুবাদে মংপুতে থাকতেন মৈত্রেয়ী দেবী। তার আমন্ত্রণেই গুরুদেব চারবার গিয়েছিলেন সেই পাহাড়ে।
১৯৯০ সালের ৪ ফেব্রুয়ারি ৭৫ বছর বয়সে প্রয়াত হন রবীন্দ্রনাথের এই বিশিষ্ট নারী।

সাল ১৯৩১। সবেমাত্র প্যারিস থেকে ফিরেছেন কবি। ভিক্তোরিয়া ওকাম্পো এখনও কবির মনের কিনারায়।
এমনি এক বিকেলে শান্তিনিকেতনের ঠিকানায় একটি অচেনা নারীর চিঠি আসে। নামের জায়গায় লিখা ‘খদ্যোৎবালা’।কিছুদিন পর আবার চিঠি আসে। এবার ‘দক্ষবালা’ নামে।
অপরিচিত এই নারীর সাথে শুরু হলো চিঠি চিঠি খেলা। রবীন্দ্রনাথের বয়স তখন ৭০।
তার আসল নাম হেমন্তবালা। গৌরীপুরের জমিদার বজেন্দ্রকিশোর রায় চৌধুরী কণ্যা। অল্প বয়সে বিয়ে হয়েছিল। এক ছেলে এক মেয়ে আছে সংসারে। স্বামীর সাথে বনিবনা না হওয়ায় চলে এসেছিলেন বাপের বাড়ি। সংসারের জীবনে সুখী ছিলেন না। বাপের বাড়ি এসে বৈষ্ণব ধর্মে দীক্ষা নিচ্ছেলেন। এমন সময় যোগাযোগ রবী ঠাকুরের সাথে। তখন হেমন্তবালার বয়স ৩৭ বছর।
দশ বছরে রবীন্দ্রনাথ ২৬৪ টা চিঠি লিখেছেন হেমন্তবালাকে।
হেমন্তবালা নিজেও কবিতা লিখতেন। বিশ্বকবি তার কবিতা পাঠ করে প্রশংসাও করেছিলেন।
৭০-৮১ বছর পর্যন্ত হেমন্তবালাই ছিলেন রবীন্দ্রনাথের সঙ্গী। জীবনের শেষদিকে অনুভূতি ভাগাভাগির আশ্রয়স্থল হয়ে উঠেছিলেন হেমন্তবালা।
হেমন্তবালাই একমাত্র নারী যার সাথে রবীন্দ্রনাথের বিচ্ছেদ ঘটেনি। বিচ্ছেদের আগেই পরপারে চলে যান বিশ্বকবি।
কবির প্রয়াণের ৩৫ বছর পর ১৯৭৬ সালে ৮২ বছর বয়সে মৃত্যুবরণ করেন রবীর জীবনের শেষ নারী হেমন্তবালা দেবী।
