দেবী দূর্গার আগমন কেন এবং কিভাবে ? (১ম পর্ব)

 পারভেজ সেলিম ।।

 

দূর্গা পুজা হিন্দু বাঙ্গালীদের সবচেয়ে বড় ধর্মীয় উৎসব। কিন্তু কে এই দেবী দূর্গা ? দেবী দূর্গার আগমন কেন ? কিভাবে বিয়ে হলো দূর্গা আর মহাদেবের। এর নানা রকম গল্প আছে। কয়েকটার দিকে নজর দেয়া যাক। প্রথম পর্বে দেখব হিন্দু পৌরানিক কাহিনীতে দূর্গার জন্ম কিভাবে হল । 

 
 

হিন্দু পৌরানিক কাহিনী মতে :  (প্রথম পর্ব)

 

অসুর একবার স্বর্গ থেকে সকল দেবতাকে বিতাড়িত করে দিল এবং স্বর্গ দখল করে নিল। দেবতারা সকলে মিলে ব্রষ্মার কাছে গেল। ব্রষ্মা তখন সমাধানের জন্য মহাদেব ও অন্য দেবতাদের নিয়ে সবার বড় দেবতা বিষ্ণুর কাছে গেল। বিষ্ণু পরামর্শ দিলেন যেহেতু কোন পুরুষ দেবতা অসুরকে মারতে পারবেনা তাই দেবতারা  নিজেদের তেজ বা শক্তিত্যাগ করে একজন নারী মুর্তি সৃষ্টি করবেন এবং সেই নারী দেবতাই অসুরকে বধ করতে পারবেন। কথা মত কাজ শুরু হল। ইন্দের তেজে কটিদেশ, ব্রষ্মার তেজে পদযুগল, মহাদেবের তেজে মুখ, বিষ্ণুর তেজে বাহু তৈরী হলো। আর  এভাবে দেবতাদের সামস্টিক শক্তিতে সৃষ্টি হল শিবরুপী দূর্গার।

 

এরপর দেবতারা দুর্গাকে বস্ত্র ও অস্ত্র দান করলেন। মহাদেব দিলেন শুল, বিষ্ণু দিলেন চক্র, ইন্দ্র দিলেন বজ্র। এভাবে যে যার মত করে অস্ত্র দিয়ে দূর্গাকে সজ্জিত করলেন। এরপর দেবতারা তাকে সম্মান জানাতে গেলে দূর্গা অট্টহাসি দিতে থাকলেন। দূর্গার হাসিতে পৃথিবী কাঁপতে থাকলো। অসুররা এই কাঁপনের কারন জানতে এসে দূর্গাকে দেখতে পেল এবং শুরু হলো দূর্গা আর অসুরের যুদ্ধ।

 

অসুরের ছিল বিশাল সেনাবাহিনী। কোটি কোটি সৈন্য আর কোটি কোটি রথ, হাতি। আর দেবি দূর্গা নিশ্বাসের সাথে হাজার হাজার সৈন্য সৃষ্টি করতে থাকলেন তারা আসুরদের সাথে যুদ্ধে হারাতে থাকলেন।

সকল সৈন্যরা মারা গেলে অসুর মহিষরুপ ধারন করে । এই রুপে দূর্গার সামনে এলে তাকে বেঁধে ফেলতেই সে মহিষ থেকে সিংহ হয়, এরপর সিংহ থেকে খড়গধারী পুরুষ তারপর পুরুষ থেকে হাতি, হাতি থেকে আবার মহিষাসুরের রুপ ধারণ করে অসুর। এভাবে বারবার রুপ বদলেও শেষ রক্ষা হয় না অসুরের । দেবী দূর্গার হাতে বধ হতে হয় তাকে ।

শেষে মধু পান করে মহিষাসুরের উপর উঠে তাকে পায়ের নিচে চেপে ধরেন দূর্গা। মহিষের মুখ থেকে অসুরের নিজ মূর্তির অধ্বাংশ বের হওয়ার সাথে সাথে, খড়গ দিয়ে অসুরের  শিরশ্ছেদ করেন দেবী দূর্গা। এভাবেই দূর্গা আর অসুরের যুদ্ধে সমাপ্তি ঘটে ।

 

কথিত আছে দুর্গা তিনবার হত্যা করে অসুরকে। একবার  দেবী উগ্রাচন্ডা রুপে, দ্বিতীয়বার ভদ্রাকালীরুপে এবং তৃতীয় বার দশভুজা দুর্গারুপে। এই তিনরুপেই দূর্গা পূজা হয় পৃথিবীতে।
