ফিলিস্তিন বলতেই আমাদের চোখের সামনে ভেসে ওঠে বিধ্বস্ত ভবনের পাশে বিষণ্ণ কোন শিশুর মুখ। কিন্তু এই সংকট শুরু হয়েছে দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধের পর থেকে ।

ফিলিস্তিনের মূল শহর হল ‘জেরুজালেম’। ঐতিহাসিকভাবে ইহুদী, খ্রিস্টান আর মুসলমানদের কাছে এটি একটি পবিত্র শহর। একসাথে তিন ধর্মের মানুষ এখানে পাশাপাশি বাস করতো দীর্ঘকাল ধরে। ইসরায়েল -ফিলিস্তিন সংকটের মূলে আছে এই শহরের মালিকানা।

মাত্র ৭৫ বছর আগে মানে ১৯৪৭ সালে এই অঞ্চলটি ছিল ফিলিস্তিনি আরবদের।পেশি শক্তির জোরে পুরো এলাকাটি এখন দখলে নিয়েছে পশ্চিমা মদদপুষ্ট ধর্ম ভিত্তিক ইহুদী রাষ্ট্র ‘ইসরায়েল’ । কিন্তু ইতিহাস বলছে এই শহরটির মুল যোগ্য দাবিদার ফিলিস্তিনিরাই ।

ফিলিস্তিনের প্রাচীন ইতিহাস :

বর্তমান ফিলিস্তিন নামটি হয় সম্রাট হাদ্রিয়ানের সময়। ১৩১ খ্রিস্টাব্দে। যখন ইহুদি ধর্ম নিষিদ্ধ করা হয়।এই অঞ্চলটি মুলত ছিল প্রাচীনকালের কেনান অঞ্চল। এর আদিবাসিরা আসলে গ্রিসের এজিয়ান সভ্যতার মানুষ। তারা এসেছিল কাফতর থেকে। ইসরাইলিদের আসার কিছু আগে ফিলিস্তিনিরা এখানে আসে। সেই ১২০০ খ্রি.পূর্বাব্দে দিকে ।

তার আগে এই কেনান অঞ্চলে বিভিন্ন জাতি বা গোত্র বাস করত। হেবাইট , জেবুসাইট, এমরাইট, হিত্তিত, পেরিসাইট ইত্যাদি। 

ইহুদীদের আদি নিবাস ছিল মিসোপটেমিয়া বা আজকেরে ইরাক অঞ্চল। সেখান থেকে আব্রাহিমের অনুসারিরা ঘুরতে ঘুরতে কেনানে অঞ্চলে এসে পৌঁছায় । কালের পরক্রিমায় তারা কেনান থেকে মিশরে গিয়ে ফেরাউনের দাস হয় ।

মিশর থেকে ইহুদীদের বের করে নিয়ে আসেন মুসা নবী । মিশর থেকে আসার পর কেনান বা ইসরাইলে ঢুকতে পারেনি ইহুদীরা। ইসলাম ধর্ম মতে ৪০ বছর পাপের শাস্তি স্বরুপ যাযাবরের মত ঘুরে পরে কেনানে ঢুকতে পারে।

ইসয়ালেরা কেনানে এসে স্থানীয়দের সাথে বিবাহ হয় এবং বংশ বিস্তার করতে থাকে। ইসরায়েলের শরীরে কেনানীয় রক্তই বেশি।

একইভাবে ফিলিস্তিনীদের শরীরেও কেনানীয়দের রক্ত বইছে। ইসরাইল ও  ফিলিস্তিনের জিনগতভাবে  মূলত একই তবে তাদের ধর্ম বিশ্বাস ছিল আলাদা। ফিলিস্তিনের প্রাচীন কালে ধর্ম ছিল পৌত্তলিক। পরে তার খ্রিষ্টান হয়েছে এবং সব শেষ মুসলিম হয়েছে।

১৯৪৮ সালে ইসরায়েল তাদের দেশ দখল করে নেয়  জাতিসংঘের সহায়তায়।বিগত ৭৩ বছর ধরে সেখানে যুদ্ধ চলমান ।

ফিলিস্তিন কি কোন রাষ্ট্র ? না এখনও পুর্নাঙ্গ রাস্ট্রের মর্যাদা পায়নি ফিলিস্তিন । ২০১২ সালে পর্যবেক্ষক রাস্ট্র হিসেবে স্বীকৃতি দিয়েছে জাতিসংঘ। তাদের কোন সেনাবাহিনী নাই। তাদের দেশে কোন সীমানা নির্ধারণ নাই। ইসরায়েলি সেনাবাহিনী পশ্চিম তীরে যেকোন জায়গায় যখন তখন অপারেশন চালায়। ফিলিস্তিনিরাই এখন বিশ্বের সবচেয়ে নির্যাতিত জনগোষ্ঠি ।
