হযরত ইব্রাহিম (আঃ) ইসলামের অন্যতম প্রধান নবী এবং আল্লাহর ঘনিষ্ঠ বন্ধু হিসেবে খ্যাত। তিনি জন্মগ্রহণ করেন ইরাকের বাবেল শহরে, যা বর্তমানের কুফার কাছে অবস্থিত। তার পিতার নাম ছিল আজর, যিনি মূর্তি প্রস্তুতকারী ও পূজারী ছিলেন। ইব্রাহিম (আঃ) ছোটবেলা থেকেই মূর্তি পূজার বিরোধিতা করতেন এবং একেশ্বরবাদে বিশ্বাসী ছিলেন।

ইব্রাহিম (আঃ)-এর আল্লাহর পথে দাওয়াত

ইব্রাহিম (আঃ) নবুওয়াত লাভ করার পর আল্লাহর দাওয়াত প্রচার করতে থাকেন। তিনি তার জাতিকে মূর্তিপূজা পরিত্যাগ করে একমাত্র আল্লাহর উপাসনা করার আহ্বান জানান। ইব্রাহিম (আঃ)-এর এই দাওয়াতের ফলে তার জাতির লোকেরা তাকে বিরোধিতা করতে শুরু করে। এমনকি তার পিতা আজরও তার বিরুদ্ধে অবস্থান নেন।

একবার, ইব্রাহিম (আঃ) তার জাতির লোকেদের মূর্তিপূজার ভুল প্রমাণ করার জন্য এক কৌশল অবলম্বন করেন। তিনি এক উৎসবের দিন শহরের মূর্তিগুলিকে ভেঙে ফেলে সবচেয়ে বড় মূর্তিটির গলায় কুড়াল ঝুলিয়ে রাখেন। যখন লোকেরা ফিরে এসে মূর্তিগুলি ভাঙা দেখতে পায়, তখন তারা ইব্রাহিম (আঃ)-এর দিকে সন্দেহের আঙ্গুল তোলে। ইব্রাহিম (আঃ) তখন তাদের প্রশ্ন করেন, “তোমরা যে বড় মূর্তিটিকে উপাসনা করো, সে তো কুড়াল ধরে আছে। তাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করো।” এই যুক্তি তাদের ভুল প্রকাশ করে এবং তাদের মধ্যে অনেকেই বুঝতে পারে মূর্তির অসারতা।

আল্লাহর পরীক্ষা: আগুনে নিক্ষেপ

ইব্রাহিম (আঃ)-এর এই দাওয়াত এবং কর্মকাণ্ডের জন্য তার জাতির লোকেরা ক্রুদ্ধ হয় এবং তাকে শাস্তি দেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়। তারা একটি বড় আগুন জ্বালিয়ে ইব্রাহিম (আঃ)-কে সেখানে নিক্ষেপ করার সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়। ইব্রাহিম (আঃ)-কে একটি বড় মঞ্চে বেঁধে আগুনে নিক্ষেপ করা হয়। কিন্তু আল্লাহ তাআলা তাকে রক্ষা করেন এবং আগুনকে তার জন্য ঠাণ্ডা ও নিরাপদ করে দেন। এই ঘটনা ইব্রাহিম (আঃ)-এর প্রতি আল্লাহর বিশেষ রহমত এবং তার উপর একটি বড় পরীক্ষা হিসেবে পরিচিত।

আল্লাহর পরীক্ষা: সন্তানহীনতা এবং হজরের সাথে সম্পর্ক :

ইব্রাহিম (আঃ)-এর জীবনে আরেকটি বড় পরীক্ষা ছিল দীর্ঘদিন সন্তানহীন থাকা। তার প্রথম স্ত্রী সারাহ অনেক বছর ধরে সন্তান লাভ করতে পারেননি। আল্লাহর নির্দেশে সারাহ ইব্রাহিম (আঃ)-কে তার দাসী হাজেরা (হাগার)-এর সাথে বিবাহ করান। তাদের সংসারে ইসমাইল (আঃ)-এর জন্ম হয়।

আল্লাহর পরীক্ষা: ইসমাইল (আঃ) এবং হজরকে মরুভূমিতে রেখে আসা

ইব্রাহিম (আঃ)-কে আল্লাহ নির্দেশ দেন ইসমাইল (আঃ) এবং তার মা হাজেরা (আঃ)-কে মক্কার নির্জন মরুভূমিতে রেখে আসতে। ইব্রাহিম (আঃ) আল্লাহর নির্দেশ মান্য করে তাদের সেখানে রেখে আসেন এবং আল্লাহর উপর তাওয়াক্কুল করে তাদের জন্য দোয়া করেন। এই পরীক্ষার ফলে মক্কা নগরী প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয় এবং সেখানে পানির উত্স জমজম কূপের উদ্ভব হয়।

আল্লাহর পরীক্ষা: ইসমাইল (আঃ)-কে কুরবানি

ইব্রাহিম (আঃ)-এর জীবনের সবচেয়ে বড় এবং কঠিন পরীক্ষা ছিল তার পুত্র ইসমাইল (আঃ)-কে কুরবানি দেওয়ার নির্দেশ। আল্লাহ তাকে স্বপ্নে নির্দেশ দেন তার প্রিয় পুত্রকে কুরবানি করতে। ইব্রাহিম (আঃ) এই স্বপ্নকে আল্লাহর নির্দেশ হিসেবে গ্রহণ করেন এবং ইসমাইল (আঃ)-কে এই বিষয়ে জানান। ইসমাইল (আঃ) আল্লাহর নির্দেশে সম্মত হন এবং কুরবানি দেওয়ার জন্য প্রস্তুত হন।

যখন ইব্রাহিম (আঃ) আল্লাহর নির্দেশ পালন করতে যাচ্ছিলেন, তখন আল্লাহ তার প্রতি সন্তুষ্ট হয়ে ইসমাইল (আঃ)-এর পরিবর্তে একটি দুম্বা কুরবানি করার নির্দেশ দেন। এই ঘটনা মুসলিমদের জন্য ঈদুল আযহার উৎসবের মূল প্রতীক হয়ে দাঁড়ায় এবং ইব্রাহিম (আঃ)-এর আল্লাহর প্রতি নিঃশর্ত আনুগত্যের মূর্ত প্রতীক।

কাবা নির্মাণ

ইব্রাহিম (আঃ) এবং তার পুত্র ইসমাইল (আঃ) আল্লাহর নির্দেশে কাবা নির্মাণ করেন। তারা কাবা নির্মাণ করার সময় আল্লাহর কাছে দোয়া করেন:

“রাব্বানা তাকাব্বাল মিন্না ইন্নাকা আন্তাস সামিউল আলীম” (বাকারা: ১২৭)

এই দোয়া এবং কাবা নির্মাণের মাধ্যমে ইব্রাহিম (আঃ) ও ইসমাইল (আঃ) আল্লাহর প্রতি তাদের গভীর আনুগত্য প্রকাশ করেন। কাবা মুসলিমদের কেবলা হিসেবে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয় এবং ইসলামের অন্যতম পবিত্র স্থান হিসেবে পরিচিত।

মৃত্যুর পূর্বাবস্থা

হযরত ইব্রাহিম (আঃ) তার জীবনের শেষ সময়েও আল্লাহর প্রতি তার আনুগত্য এবং বিশ্বাস অটুট রাখেন। তিনি দীর্ঘজীবন ধরে মানুষকে এক আল্লাহর উপাসনা করতে শিক্ষা দেন এবং তাদেরকে সঠিক পথে চলার দাওয়াত দেন। তার মৃত্যুর পরও তার শিক্ষা এবং দাওয়াত মানুষের মধ্যে প্রচলিত থাকে।
