পারভেজ সেলিম।
কোরআন পৃথিবীর একমাত্র ধর্মীয় গ্রন্থ যা ১৪০০ বছর ধরে অবিকৃত বা অপরিবর্তনশীল আছে। অন্য কোন ধর্ম গ্রন্থ আর আদি অবস্থায় নাই, সবগুলোতেই কোন না কোন পরিবর্তন হয়েছে। শুধু ধর্মীয় গ্রন্থ কেন, পৃথিবীর কোন গ্রন্থই পরিমার্জন, পরিবর্ধন কিংবা পরিবর্তন ছাড়া এখন আর সেই প্রথমের অবস্থায় নাই। তাই কুরআন যে পৃথিবীর সবচেয়ে প্রাচীন অপরিবর্তনশীল গ্রন্থ সে নিয়ে কোন সন্দেহ নাই মুসলমানের মনে।
তবে যে কুরআন আমরা এখন পাই তা ইসলামের তৃতীয় খলিফা উসমানের সময় থেকে চালু হওয়া কুরআন অর্থাৎ উসমানের সময়ের পর থেকে কুরআন অপরিবর্তিত তা নিশ্চিত।
কিন্তু বড় প্রশ্ন হচ্ছে তৃতীয় খলিফার আগের যে কুরআন তা অপরিবর্তিত থাকার সম্ভাবনা কতুটুক ?
তাহলে প্রথমে জানা দরকার আমাদের হাতে কুরআন আসল কিভাবে? মহানবী হয়রত মুহাম্মাদ (সা.) এর নিকট তিনভাবে কুরআন নাজিল হয়েছিল বলে মুসলমানেরা বিশ্বাস করে। এক. জিব্রাইলের মাধ্যমে, দুই. ঘুমের মধ্যে স্বপ্নে, তিন.সরাসরি আল্লাহর কাছ থেকে। যখন আল্লাহর কাছ থেকে সরাসরি কুরআন নাজিল হত তখন একটি বিশেষ শব্দ হতো।
তারপর মহানবী সেই নাজিলকৃত আল্লার বানী তার মুখে আওড়াতেন, আশেপাশের সাহাবি সঙ্গীদের শোনাতেন। আয়াত যে কারনে নাজিল হয়েছে সে বিষয়ে ব্যাখার প্রয়োজন হলে সেটাও করতেন।
তার সেই আয়াতগুলো সাহাবিরা সাথে সাথে মুখস্ত করতেন। পরবর্তীতে দেখা যায় মুখস্তের কিছু কিছু আয়াত লিখেও রাখা হতো। পাথরে, চামড়ায়, মাটিতে, খেজুরের পাতা সহ সম্ভবপর নানান জায়গায় এসব আয়াত লিখে রাখা হত। এর চাইতে ভালো লিখে রাখার নির্ভরযোগ্য মাধ্যম তখনও আরবেরা রপ্ত করতে পারেননি।
মহানবী ছিলেন নিরক্ষর। কি লিখে রাখছে তা তিনি বুঝতে পারতেন না। তবে সাহাবীরা যা মুখে বলছেন তা ভুল নাকি সঠিক সেটি তিনি সংশোধন করতে পারতেন। কুরআন নাজিল হয়েছিল ২৩ বছর ধরে। মহানবীর বয়স যখন ৪০ বছর তখন তিনি নবুয্যত পান, তারপর থেকে মৃত্যু আগ পর্যন্ত কুরআন নাজিল হয়েছিল। তার জীবনদশায় কুরআন সম্পূর্ন লিপিবদ্ধ করার কোন তাগিদ অনুভব করেননি কেউই। মহানবীও জোর করে কিছু বলেননি। মুসলমানদের মুখে মুখেই চলছিল প্রথমদিকের কুরআন। আরবদের মুখস্থ রাখার ক্ষমতা ছিল অসম্ভব রকমের ভালো।
মহানবীর জীবনদশায় কুরআন সংরক্ষিত ছিল কুরআনের হাফেজদের কাছে এবং বিভিন্ন জায়গায় লিখে রাখার মধ্যে। কিন্তু সংকলিত লিপিবদ্ধ আকারে কোন কুরআন তখন ছিল না।
মহানবী মারা যান ৬৩২ খ্রি.। তারপর খলিফা হন হযরত আবু বকর। মুত্যুর দুই বছর পর ইয়ামামার যুদ্ধে শহীদ হন ৭০/৭০০ জন কুরআনের হাফেজ। আবু বক্কর প্রথম ব্যক্তি যিনি কুরআন সংরক্ষন নিয়ে শংকিত হন এবং একটি সংকলিত কুরাআন লিপিবদ্ধ করার প্রয়োজনীয়তা অনুভব করেন। তিনি দায়িত্ব দেন যায়েদ ইবনে সাবিতকে। যিনি নবীর জীবনদশায় তার সাথে ছিলেন এবং তিনি নিজেও অনেক আয়াত লিপিবদ্ধ করে রেখেছিলেন।
তিনি যথেষ্ট সতর্কতার সাথেই কুরআন সংকলন করেন। কোন সমস্যা দেখা দিলে হাফেজদের সাথে পুন:নিরীক্ষা করতেন। দীর্ঘ পরিশ্রম ও সাধনার পর প্রথম পুর্নাঙ্গ কুরআন লিপিবদ্ধ করতে সক্ষম হন যায়েদ ইবনে সাবিত।
এরপর সেই কুরআন আবু বকর থেকে দ্বিতীয় খলিফা উমরের কাছে ১০ বছর ৩ মাসের বেশি দিন সংরক্ষিত থাকে। এরপর উমর মারা গেলে উমরের কণ্যা ও মহানবীর স্ত্রীর হাফজার নিকট সংরক্ষিত থাকে প্রথম কুরআন। এরপর আসে তৃতীয় খলিফা উসমান এর শাসনামল।
ইতিমধ্যে আরবের ৭ টি আঞ্চলিক ভাষায় কুরআন লিপিবদ্ধ হয়েছে। যে যার যা ভাষায় এই কুরআন পাঠ করতে শুরু করেছে। আরবের বাইরেও বিভিন্ন মুসলিম রাজ্যগুলোতেও ভিন্ন ভিন্ন উচ্চারণের কুরআন ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে।
কুরআন পাঠের সময় ভিন্ন ভাষার উচ্চারণ দেখে খলিফা উসমান বিচলিত হয়ে পড়লেন। উচ্চারণ জটিলতায় এমন অবস্থা দাঁড়ায় যে কোথাও কোথাও এর মুল অর্থই পরিবর্তন হতে শুরু করে।
এই সমস্যা থেকে পরিত্রানের জন্য ইসলামের তৃতীয় খলিফা আরেকটি বড় সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ করেন। দ্বিতীয়বারের মত কুরআন সংকলন করা সিদ্ধান্ত নেন। বিভিন্ন দেশ থেকে কুরআনের সকল কপি ফিরিয়ে আনেন এবং একমাত্র কুরআইশ ভাষায় কুরআন সংকলন করার দ্বায়িত্ব দেয়া হয় একটি কমিটিকে যেখানে সদস্য সংখ্যা ছিল ১২ জন। আর এই কমিটির প্রধান করা হয় যায়েদ ইবনে সাবেতকে।
তারা যাচাই বাছাই করে একটি পুর্নাঙ্গ নির্ভূল কুরআন তুলে দেন খলিফা উসমানের হাতে। এরপর খলিফা একমাত্র কুরআইশি উচ্চারণের কুরআন রেখে বাকি সকল কোরআন পুড়িয়ে মাটিতে পুতে ফেলেন। কুরআনের নির্ভূল একটি কপি রাখেন মদিনায়।
আজ আমরা যত কুরআন পাই তার সকল কপি সেই কুরআনের প্রতিলিপি। প্রথম কুরআনে জের, জবর, পেশ কিছুই ছিল না আর তাতেই উচ্চারণের জটিলতা তৈরি হয়েছিল। দ্বিতীয়বার যে কুরআন সংকলন করা হয় সেখানে প্রথম জের, জবর, পেশ যুক্ত করা হয়। নির্ভূল কুরআন সংকলনের এই মহান দ্বায়িত্ব পালন করেছিল বলে খলিফা উসমানকে বলা হয় জামিয়ুল কুরআন বা কুরআন সংকলনকারি।
এখন আমরা যে কুরআন পড়ছি তা খলিফা উসমানের সময় সংকলিত করা অবিকৃত কুরআন।
অবিশ্বাসীদের মনে এখন প্রশ্ন, কুরআন যেভাবে সংকলিত হয়েছিল তাতে বিকৃত হবার সম্ভাবনাকে একেবারে উড়িয়ে দেয়া যায় কি? কারন মানুষ মাত্রই তো ভুল করে। ভুলের উর্দ্ধে তো কেউ নয়। তাহলে যেহেতু উচ্চারণ ভুলের কারনে কুরআনকে নতুন করে সংকলিত করতে হলো তাহলে নুতন সংকলিত কুরআন নির্ভুল হলো তার একশো ভাগ নিশ্চয়তা কিভাবে পাওয়া যায়। এর কোন উত্তর যুক্তিতে নাই আছে বিশ্বাসে। যাদের মনে এই বিশ্বাস নড়বড়ে তারা মুলত ইসলাম অবিশ্বাসী।
কুরাআন নির্ভুল এটা মুসলমানদের বিশ্বাস। ইসলাম বিশ্বাসীরা মনে করেন আল্লাহ নিজেই কুরআনের সকল দ্বায়িত্ব নিয়েছেন। সুরা হিজরের ৯ নম্বরে আয়াতে তিনি এই কথা নিশ্চিত করে বলেছেন ‘আমি কুরআন অবতীর্ন করেছি আর অবশ্যই এর সংরক্ষক’। তাই এই কুরআন অবিকৃত ও সঠিক। প্রথমবার লিপিবদ্ধ করার সময় নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাই তার তদারকি করেছেন। নিভূল হওয়া জন্য নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ এমন কোন ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করেছিল যা মানুষের পক্ষে জানা অসম্ভব। মুসলমানদের কাছে তাই কুরআন অবিকৃত নির্ভুল এক মহান গ্রন্থ। যাতে তাদের কোন সন্দেহ নাই।
কুরআন অবিকৃত থাকার সম্ভাবনাটি তাই একটা বিশ্বাসের ব্যাপার। অবিশ্বাসীরা যাই ভাবুক, মুসলমানেরা বিশ্বাস করেন কুরআন অবিকৃত আছে, ছিল এবং কেয়ামত পর্যন্ত অবিকৃত থাকবে।
