শিল্পিত পারু’র কবিতা
‘বাড়ির জবা গাছটা’
আমাদের বাসায় একটা জবা গাছ ছিল
লাল সুন্দর পাপড়ির ভিতরে একটা শুঁড় থাকতো
পাতাগুলো কালো সবুজ চকচকে।
এত সুন্দর একটি ফুলের কোন গন্ধ পেতাম না বলে কষ্ট হত
সবাই বলত যে ফুলের গন্ধ নাই সে ফুলের দাম নাই !
কিন্তু আমার বেশ লাগত;
বাড়িতে আরো অনেক গাছ ছিল কিন্তু
আমার কথা হত জবা গাছটির সাথে।
সত্যিই কি কথা হত?
তখন মনে হয়নি যে আমি তার সাথে কথা বলি এখন মনে হচ্ছে।
একবার বৈশাখে আমার বাবা গাছের নিচে বসে মুরগীর মোসলমানি করিয়েছিল
সেটা মনে পড়ে খুব, ঘর থেকে রবী ঠাকুরের কবিতা শোনা যাচ্ছিল
‘আজি হতে শতবর্ষ পরে কে বসে পড়িছো মোর কবিতাখানি’
বুঝি খুব বেশি দিন আগের কথা নয় সবে মাত্র আটাশ বছর।
বাসা বদলিয়ে শহর বদলিয়ে মনে হয় কতদুর এসেছি এখন
তবু জানতে ইচ্ছে করে
গাছটি এখন কেমন আছে?
গাছটির কথা এখন খুব মনে পড়ে
যার সুন্দর টকটকে লাল ফুলের কোন গন্ধ ছিল না।
অনেকদিন বকুল ফুল কুড়িয়ে এনেছিলাম, কি মিষ্টি গন্ধ !
হাসনা হেনার গাছ আছে বলে আমার এক বন্ধু কত না বড়াই করতো।
এমন আরো কত ফুল ;
কারো কথা আমার মনে পড়ে না,
আমার খুব জানতে ইচ্ছে করে জবা গাছটিতে কি এখনও ফুল ফুটে আছে !
জানি সব ফুলের গন্ধ হয়না
শুধু জানিনা বুকের ভিতর কেন জেগে থাকে গন্ধহীন ফুল ও জবা গাছটা!
