মোহনা জান্নাত ।।মিয়া বাড়ি মসজিদ । কেউ বলছে ২০০ বছরের পুরাতন আবার কেউ বলছে ৭০০ বছরের প্রাচীন মসজিদটি। বরিশাল সদরের কড়াপুর ইউনিয়নে এই অন্যন্য সুন্দর এই মসজিদটি কে কিভাবে নির্মাণ করলেন চলুন জেনে আসি ।
মিয়াবাড়ি মসজিদ যেতে হলে আপনাকে সবার আগে আসতে হবে বরিশালের হাতেম আলী কলেজের চৌমাথায়। সেখানে থেকে নবোগ্রাম রোড় ধরে অটোরিক্সায় ২০ টাকা দিয়ে প্রায় চার কিলোমিটার পর আপনি নেমে পড়ুন পপুলার নামক একটি স্থানে। অটো পরিবর্তন সেখান থেকে করে ৫ টাকায় পৌছে যাবেন মসজিদের রাস্তায় । বাকিটা পথ যেতে হবে পায়ে হেটে । একটু বেশি হাটার অভ্যাস থাকলে সরাসরি অন্য আরেকটি রাস্তা দিয়েও আপনি পৌঁছে যেতে পারেন এই মিয়া বাড়ি মসজিদে।
ঢুকতেই বিশাল এক পুকুরের পাড়ে এই লাল মসজিদটি সহজেই আপনার নজর কাড়বে। আর কাছে পৌঁছাতেই দেখা গেল দোতালা এই মসজিদটির সামনের বিশাল এক সিঁড়ি । যা এর সৌন্দর্যকে অনেকগুন বাড়িয়ে দিয়েছে। প্রথমেই মসজিদটির নিচতলা ঘুরে দেখা যাক । মসজিদের নিচেতলায় রয়েছে ৬ টি দরজা আছে আর ভিতরে আছে নয়টি রুম। মুসাফিরদের থাকার ব্যবস্থা করা হয়েছিল মসজিদের নিচতলায় ।এটি এই মসজিদের একটি বিশেষ বৈশিষ্ট যা সাধারনত অন্য মসজিদে দেখা যায় না । এখনও মসজিদের সংস্কারের কাজ চলছে তবে এর সংস্কার শুরু হয় পারিবারিক উদ্দ্যগে সেটা ২০১৩ সালে ।
ইতিহাস বলছে , আঠারোশো শতকের দিকে হায়াত মাহমুদ নামের এলাকার একজন ব্রিটিশ বিরোধী জমিদার এই মসজিদটি নির্মাণ করেন। ব্রিটিশদের বিরুদ্ধে বিদ্রোহ করার কারনে তাকে জেলও খাটতে হয়েছে । শাস্তি হিসেবে কেড়ে নেয়া হয়েছিল তার উমেদপুরের জমিদারি আর পাঠিয়ে দেয়া হয়েছিল প্রিন্স অফ ওয়েলস দ্বীপে । ১৬ বছর পর সেখান থেকে ফিরে এসে তিনি দুটি দীঘি এবং এই মসজিদটি নির্মাণ করেন ।
মসজিদটির নির্মাণ শৈলীর মধ্যে শায়েস্তা খানের কার্তলব খান মসজিদের সাথে মিল পাওয়া যায় যা নির্মিত হয়েছিল মুঘল আমলে। এর দোতলায় রয়েছে ৩ টি দরজা এছাড়া ৩ টি গম্বুজের সাথে ছোট বড় মিলে মিনার রয়েছে ২০ টি। আর মসজিদের ভিতরের নকশায় রয়েছে বিশেষ ধরণের কারুকাজ ।স্থানীয়দের বিশ্বাস শুধু]উ মানুষ নয় এই মসজিদে জ্বীনেরাও এসে নামায পড়ে ।

পরিবারের মতে এই দুটি কবর হায়াত মাহমুদ ও তার ভাই মাহমুদ জাহিদের যাতে হাতে গোড়াপত্তন হয়েছিল এই সুন্দর মসজিদটি। দেশের ইতিহাস ও ঐতিহ্যের সাথে যুক্ত এমন অন্যন্য সুন্দর এই মসজিদটি আপনিও দেখে আসতে পারেন ।
